Description & Services
Information | The intention of the Colchester Art Acquisition is to continue a collection of visual art which reflects the historic and artistic development of the county and its artists, recognizing the importance of the culture community within the county and the province.
Each year, the Municipality of the County of Colchester is proud to host an Art Show featuring various pieces from local artists. During each show, a work of art is selected
by a committee to be purchased by the Municipality to expand the Colchester's collection. The chosen selection is added to the permanent public display on the main floor of the County Courthouse and the artists’ biography is added to a book which displays the history of the program. The Annual Art Show, open to the public, is cohosted by the Municipality of Colchester and the Truro Arts Society.
