| Information | Information: Family Ranch Adventure Come try Shelby Ranch's amusement park-style family adventure days! Enjoy unlimited access to our pony rides, petting farm, mechanical bull, and sticky wall. There will be a food cart available on-site. $14 plus HST per person Free for children 2 and under *Summer 2021: available Thursday through Sunday between 11 am and 4 pm Riding Lessons Shelby Ranch offers lessons for every kind of learner, aged 2 to senior, whether you're a beginner or intermediate. Our 1-hour riding lessons take place in the relaxed environment of an indoor arena, with safe, patient, and well-mannered horses. We teach the basics of Western horsemanship from safe ground handling to all-around control riding. We always keep the lessons fun, often working outdoors on trail or Western performance patterns and games. Private: $50 per lesson Group: $35 per lesson Riding Lesson Package Ride twice a week at a discounted rate! This deal is for the devoted rider. Private: $280 per month Group: $230 per month Therapeutic Riding Program What Is Therapeutic Riding? Equestrian therapy can help enhance the physical, emotional, behavioral, and cognitive skills of persons with disabilities. Therapeutic riding is a form of therapy that makes use of horses to help promote emotional growth. How Does It Work? Each child is paired with one of the Shelby Ranch program horses. With help from a qualified team of instructors and volunteers, children experience the joy of riding. During the 1-hour program session, children complete a series of exercises that are designed to help them improve their strength and coordination, increase their flexibility, and learn about horseback riding. Children develop a bond with their horse and are able to achieve things that they never thought possible. Want to relax, gain confidence, and do something physically active? Adult Learn to Ride might just be for you. If you are a beginner rider or have just been away from the saddle for a while, this program is for you! See if you want to simply ride for enjoyment or if you want to pick a direction and work towards a goal. The Adult Learn to Ride program lets you schedule 1 lesson per week at your convenience and provides access to our Online Horse Hub, where you can learn about horse care, parts of the horse, and more. $220 per month Riding Membership Enjoy access to tack, the trails, and indoor riding areas. It's the next best thing to owning your own horse - and without all of the expenses! 2 rides per week: $172.50 per month Unlimited rides: $250 per month Experience Shelby Ranch Trail Ride No experience needed for this 1.5-hour ride! Enjoy the beautiful views. This ride explores wood trails. Book a solo ride or bring your family and friends. Private: $100 plus HST per person Group: $60 plus HST per person Moonlight Rancher - May to October This is a special evening ride. Riders enjoy an evening trail ride and return at dusk to a campfire with s'mores. $80 plus HST per person The Rancher - May to October Shelby Ranch has got your ticket to adventure. Let's fill our saddle bags with lunch and hit the trails. We'll spend an afternoon exploring the countryside on this 3-hour trail ride with lunch included. Private: $210 plus HST per person Group: $180 plus HST per person Pony Rides It's every small child's dream to ride a pony! Shelby Ranch offers guided rides of different durations on our safe, reliable ponies. 30 minutes: $25 Private Sleigh or Wagon Ride Go on a 1-hour sleigh or wagon ride with hot chocolate included. This package includes up to 10 people for the sleigh and up to 12 people for the wagon. $144 plus HST Sleigh Ride Package Go on a public 30-minute sleigh ride with hot chocolate. Afterward, warm up by a bonfire with s'mores. Note that masks are mandatory since there could be other people on your ride. $14 plus HST per person Free for children 2 and under Axe Throwing Throw some axes with your family and friends in our large outdoor throwing lane.
